This weekend 2/23/2019 DeKalb Kids Project and the Glamorous Gemz collaborated to help feed the hungry at the Grace Community Food Pantry. We were accompanied by many organizations including, Ernest and Young, Spelman College, and the Oder of the Eastern Star Chapter 587. We feed in excess of 85 families.
Collaboratively we were able to provide an assortment of food, beverages, snacks, toiletries and other needed items for families in need. The Glamorous Gemz stole the show with their positive attitude and eagerness to help. “Seeing all the families, we helped literally brought tears to my eye” Danielle Rountree the Mentor Director of DeKalb Kids Project and Founder of the Glamorous Gemz said.
The Grace Community Food Pantry feeds about 100 families every weekend and also provide assistance for college students and local youth in the community.
